What is tea incense?
Tea incense is a fragrance product made of tea leaves. They are composed to be warmed for fragrance, not brewed to drink.
Set on a tea incense burner over a low flame, the leaves slowly release their scent into the room.
Is tea incense for drinking?
Our tea incense are for fragrance use only and are not intended for eating or drinking.

You will need a tea incense burner, tea incense, a tea light candle, and a lighter.

How do I use tea incense?

Tea incense is made of 100% natural ingredients, a natural alternative to conventional home fragrances.
It is an established practice among tea practitioners.
As tea incense uses an open flame, never leave it unattended.
Products
I am new to tea incense, what should I purchase?
If you are new to tea incense, we recommend starting with our Introductory Set.
It offers the Koro tea incense burner together with both tea incense blends and complimentary tea lights.
Are your products made in Japan?
Yes, all our products are made in Japan.
Our tea incense blends use 100% Japanese tea leaves.
The Koro ceramic tea incense burner is made in Seto, Aichi, one of the six Ancient Kilns of Japan.
What is the difference between Takibi Blend and Classic Blend?
The Takibi Blend is darker, smokier, and more roasted in character. The Classic Blend is warmer, greener, and quieter in tone.
They are made by a different blend of tea leaves and offer a different atmosphere when warmed.
What is Duo?
Duo contains both the Classic Blend and Takibi Blend.
It contains 4 servings of each blend, the easiest way to compare the two and find which one you return to most often.
What is Koro?
Koro is our signature ceramic tea incense burner. It is designed to warm tea leaves gently so their fragrance can open slowly into the room.
Can I buy the tea incense without Koro?
Yes. The blends are available individually. To use them as intended, you will need a tea incense burner such as the Koro.
Shipping & returns
How much is the shipping fee?
We ship domestically within Japan.
Domestic shipping is 400 yen with every order. Domestic shipping is free for orders above 4,000 yen.
We currently do not provide international shipping.
When will I receive my order?
Please allow 3-5 working days to receive your order.
Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification with tracking information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.
When will I receive my pre-order items?
Pre-order items will be clearly marked in the item description with the expected arrival date.
You will receive an e-mail notification when your order is dispatched. Kindly allow 3-5 business days for your item to be shipped to you.
How do I return an item?
We accept returns within 7 days of your order. The item must be unused in their original condition and packaging. Opened, used, or damaged items are not eligible for return.
If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us at enquiries@meirodo.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photographs of the item and packaging.
Please note that shipping fees are non-refundable unless the item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect.
